I call this series, “Just before the rain,” and shot them Wednesday night, around 6 p.m., when the clouds began gathering in Manhattan Beach.

Anytime at the beach is magical, but pre-rain I think is the best of all. At least, as long as you’re not on a bike or roller blades and the wind is against you.
